YEREVAN, DECEMBER 2, ARMENPRESS. 18 Armenian companies have been chosen by the EU Delegation to Armenia and Austrian Development Agency which will receive financial assistance. “Armenpress” reports Deputy Minister of Agriculture Armen Harutyunyan mentioned in a press conference on December 2 that this assistance amounting to 3.3 million Euros will be allocated in the sidelines of “Organic Agriculture Support Initiative” grant scheme.

“Those enterprises are rather diverse. They are engaged in production of wines, honey, dried fruits, as well as organic olive oil”, Harutyunyan said.

The Deputy Agriculture Minister added that at the moment 190 applications are being viewed for the second stage 40 of which will be selected. “Those companies will also receive financial assistance with the same goal – to develop organic agriculture”.
