YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 23, ARMENPRESS. The Ministry of Justice of Armenia has developed a draft protocol decision of the Government on “Approving the concept of modernization of the medical services in the correctional facilities of the Republic of Armenia”, Deputy Justice Minister Suren Krmoyan told “Armenpress”.

He said the draft proposes to improve the material-technical conditions of the medical parts of the correctional facilities.

“This draft proposes to provide the correctional facilities with the necessary medical equipment for primary health care, to improve the professional skills of the medical personnel, as well as to provide a security guarantee for the medical officers in the correctional facilities”, Krmoyan said, adding that the draft also proposes to hold a training of all medical personnel of the correction facilities.

He said the draft has been presented to interested bodies in order to get proposals and remarks. “Based on the received proposals, the draft has been amended, and the final version has been submitted to the Armenian Government on October 21, 2016”.
