YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 22, ARMENPRESS.  Minister of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov discussed issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation with high level Armenian officials. After meeting with President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, the Russian Minister told the reporters that the main topic of the talks was about deepening industrial and economic cooperation in all directions in the sidelines of the EAEU. “We must utilize the potentials of each member state so as they are able not only to realize their products in the EAEU market, but also beyond its borders”, “Armenpress” reports Manturov saying.

He added that during the conference in Armenia they introduced to their Armenian, Belarusian and Kazakh partners the industrial opportunities that Egypt gives to the EAEU member states. “Particularly, Egypt has created an industrial zone in Port Said and offers us to establish our own production there. There are already some Russians wishing to do that and now we invite our Armenian, Belarusian and Kazakh partners to establish there their productions”, the Minister said.

Manturov also stated that they attach great importance to the production of agricultural machines, noting that there is already an agreement with Armenian partners to create joint technical parks including in it all the Russian and Belarusian enterprises engaged in agricultural machine production. “We have reache3d an agreement to implement a pilot project in which the Armenian Ministry of Agriculture will participate. We will also utilize the entire potential of Belarus and Russia in agricultural machine production in order to make that project economically beneficial”, Denis Manturov stated.

The Russian Minister also noted that there is a necessity to use the potentials of Armenia. He mentioned that since the Soviet times the Armenian cooperatives have been serious competitor for Russian enterprises.

Denis Manturov added that he has discussed issues of military technical cooperation with Armenian Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan.

Minister of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov has held meetings in Yerevan with President Serzh Sargsyan, Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan, Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan and Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan.
