YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS. While on a working visit in Armenia, Chairperson of Russia’s Federation Council’s Committee on Foreign Affairs Konstantin Kosachev and Committee members visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial on November 19, press service of the Armenian Parliament told “Armenpress”.

They were accompanied by Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs of Armenia Artak Zakaryan, Deputy Chairman of the Committee Alexander Arzumanyan and Committee member Shirak Torosyan.

The Russian parliamentarians laid a wreath at the memorial, laid flowers at the Eternal Flame and paid a tribute to the memory of Armenian Genocide victims with a moment of silence.

Konstantin Kosachev stated: “By paying a tribute to the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims of 1915 we are once again convinced how fragile the peace is, how monstrous the violence is, how terrible the conflicts between people are. We must do everything to prevent new tragedies. We are with the Armenian people”.
