NATO interested in continuing mutually beneficial cooperation with Armenia

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS. Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received on November 18 NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General Jamie Shea, who is in Armenia in the sidelines of “NATO week” in Armenia.

As “Armenpress” was informed from the press service of MFA Armenia, greeting the guest Minister Nalbandian positively assessed Armenia-NATO cooperation and highlighted the successful implementation of Armenia-NATO Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) 2014-2016, as well as the elaboration of a new IPAP for 2017-2018.

Thanking for the reception, the NATO official noted that the North Atlantic Treaty values its relations with Armenia and is interested in continuing mutually beneficial cooperation.

The interlocutors discussed issues of Armenia-NATO dialogue, and cooperation in different formats, exchanged ideas on regional issues, and Armenia’s effective involvement in international peacekeeping missions.

Foreign Minister Nalbandian introduced the efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs aimed at creating adequate conditions for progressing the process of exclusively peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
