YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 8, ARMENPRESS. President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received on November 8 Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Paolo Gentiloni.

As “Armenpress” was informed from the press service of the Armenian President’s Office, greeting the high level guest, the President of the Republic documented with pleasure that centuries-old friendly relations between  Armenia and Italy are abundant with numerous demonstrations of friendship based on which the bilateral relations have developed since Armenia’s independence 25 years ago.  Serzh Sargsyan hoped that Gentiloni’s visit to Armenia will further foster the political dialogue between Armenia and Italy and will deepen the existing cooperation in different spheres. The sides also touched upon issues of fostering bilateral economic ties.

The Armenian President and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy exchanged ideas over regional issues and challenges, including Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process and Italy’s priorities in 2018 as the chairing country over the OSCE.
