YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 2, ARMENPRESS. The discussions over “2016-2018 national program to improve the demographic situation” which provides an opportunity for young families to purchase mortgage apartment without prepayment are still underway, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan told reporters in the Parliament, "Armenpress" reported.

“The Government is planning to carry out respective programs in 2017 aimed at solving the social-demographic issues. I think all questions will find their answers in time”, he said.

The Minister said the programs, initiatives, drafts of legal acts are discussed in advance, and then when they are approved, they become projects, legal act or legal norm which are binding.

“Currently that works are underway. I think you will be fully informed about that when we will have the complete decision”, Artem Asatryan said.

He informed that the discussions over that program are being held within public circles, however, it is planned to discuss the issue with private sector representatives as well.

To the question whether they presented this issue to the new Prime Minister and if yes, what is his opinion over it, the Minister stated: “Yes, it has been presented and the discussions, that I have mentioned, are being held under the PM’s instruction, and we are going to include private sector representatives to those discussions soon”.

To the question whether it is possible to allocate money from budget for implementing that program starting from half of the next year, the Minister said nothing is ruled out.
