Armenian PM takes part in CIS PMs Council session

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 28, ARMENPRESS. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko received the heads of delegations of the CIS participating states who participated in the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and the CIS Prime Ministers Council sessions, press service of the Government told “Armenpress”.

President Lukashenko said the CIS and the Eurasian Economic Union are good platforms for establishment of dialogue between the member states, as well as in terms of moving forward the integration processes.

Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan participated in narrow and extended format sessions of the CIS Prime Ministers within the framework of his visit to Belarus.

 A number of issues of the CIS and the EAEU agendas were discussed at the meeting.

A number of programs were discussed and approved during the CIS PMs session. In particular, the Council approved the programs on the CIS bodies common budget 2017 and the 2015 joint budget performance, a number of documents were signed as well.

After the sessions Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan held a briefing with media representatives. The PM stated that the talks and discussions were quite interesting, and these platforms are suitable for discussing the issues both in terms of the market, as well as the interests in the post-Soviet countries.  

“Heated and substantive discussions were held during the Eurasian Inter-governmental Council session since they were associated with the Customs Code. Since there were unresolved issues, we have agreed to meet again in Moscow on November 15”, Karen Karapetyan said.
