YEREVAN, OCTOBER 28, ARMENPRESS. Ambassador of Finland to Armenia Arya Makkonen (residence in Helsinki) on October 28 presented her credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan, press service of the Presidential administration told “Armenpress”.

The Armenian President congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment, wished her success and said with satisfaction that the relations of Armenia and Finland are dynamically developing, the political dialogue continues, the two countries are successfully cooperating within the framework of international organizations and share similar approaches on a number of international issues.

Serzh Sargsyan said all these serve as good base for further strengthening and deepening the Armenian-Finnish relations. The President attached importance to the development of the legal framework, intensification of the inter-parliamentary mutual cooperation and the complete utilization of that potential in inter-state relations.

Ambassador Arya Makkonen shared the same views on bilateral inter-state relations as mentioned by the President, and emphasized the need to deepen the cooperation in mutually beneficial sectors aimed at boosting the trade-economic ties.

The sides also discussed regional issues and challenges, as well as the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process.
