Armenia has good indicator of economic competitiveness – EBRD official
YEREVAN, OCTOBER 26, ARMENPRESS. Armenia has a good economic competitiveness indicator, “Armenpress” reports Head of EBRD Yerevan Resident Office Mark Davis told the reporters on October 26.
“Armenia and Georgia are on a stable development path. If Armenian companies work in a correct way, we will see a boost in foreign investments which will increase the prices of the shares of SMEs”, Mark Davis said.
According to the Head of EBRD Yerevan Resident Office, the key issue is that the funding of SMEs by banks has been on mortgage basis, while there are other tools of funding, which are, unfortunately, not popular in Armenia.
“Many companies try to understand what to do for success and here the consolations provided by us are of key importance”, Head of EBRD Yerevan Resident Office Mark Davis added.
Armenian financiers and SME representatives took a 3-day financial training supported by the EBRD and the EU.
