YEREVAN, OCTOBER 26, ARMENPRESS. Henrikh Mkhitaryan could be bombed out of Manchester United in January — after only 1 start this season, the Sun reports.

The Armenian international moved to Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund for £30million in July.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan could be sold in January after failing to impress Jose Mourinho, according to “The Sun”.

At the time he was considered one of Europe’s most sought-after players.

But despite impressive displays in training, the 27-year-old midfielder has failed to convince boss Jose Mourinho.

Mkhitaryan picked up a thigh injury on international duty last month and has not played for United since the Manchester derby on September 10.

Former United and England midfielder Owen Hargreaves is surprised a player of his quality keeps being overlooked.

Hargreaves, 35, said: “I can’t believe he’s not getting a look-in. He’d be a banker in my starting XI.

“He had a slow start at Dortmund too and was the players’ player of the year last season.

“He scored 23 goals and had 32 assists, which are staggering numbers.

“The Sun” also carries out an online poll, asking readers to vote whether or not they think Mkhitaryan should be sold by Manchester United.  The poll quickly gained 81 percent of votes from people saying that Mkhitaryan should stay in Manchester United.
