National Security Service busts illegal casinos in Yerevan
16:58, 25 October 2016YEREVAN, OCTOBER 25, ARMENPRES. The National Security Service has discovered illegal casinos in Kentron and Arabkir districts of Yerevan, which were operating under the cover of being legal, lacking any official registration or gambling license, the NSS told ARMENPRESS.
Initial data suggest gambling games were organized in the locations for a long time.
The organizers would preliminary agree on the date with their main clients, in order to gather enough number of players, including finding and involving unskilled players. The organizers also took measures to hide their actions.
In addition, the organizers have provided entertainment and hospitality to players, and distributed the prize money among them.
The suspects have been charged.
Preliminary investigation is underway.
