YEREVAN, OCTOBER 11, ARMENPRESS. Deputy Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, head of the Armenian delegation to PACE Hermine Naghdalyan chaired the PACE October 11 plenary session. This is the first time head of the Armenian delegation chairs the Assembly’s works, press service of the Parliament informed “Armenpress”.

The debate-discussion over the activity of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) was included in the session agenda with participation of OECD Deputy Secretary-General Mari Kiviniemi who delivered speech at the session.

Hermine Naghdalyan welcomed the speakers’ speeches participated in the discussion and said women are of course more active on discussing such issue.

Hermine Naghdalyan stressed the importance of the OECD’s role as a key tool for overcoming the challenges faced by the member states and its input in the development of countries’ economies.

The election of the judges of the European Court of Human Rights was also included in the session agenda.
