PM Karapetyan receives Russian Ambassador to Armenia

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 4, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan on October 4 received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Armenia Ivan Volynkin, press service of the Government informed “Armenpress”.

The PM said the Armenian-Russian allied, friendly relations have strong basis and emphasized that the bilateral mutual cooperation is developing at all directions. PM Karapetyan said Russia is Armenia’s major economic partner and attached importance to the further development and expansion of trade-economic cooperation between the two states.

Karen Karapetyan highlighted that the Armenian Government is ready to take the necessary steps towards that path and added that there is a great potential for implementing new investment projects and increasing the trade turnover volumes.

In his turn Russian Ambassador Volynkin congratulated Karen Karapetyan on his appointment as PM and wished him new achievements. The Ambassador said he believes in the success of Armenia’s new Government and said he is ready to assist on implementing joint initiatives.

At the meeting the sides discussed a number of issues related to the Armenian-Russian relations agenda and economic cooperation.
