Armenian Premier expects non-standard solutions from banking system representatives to 
improve business environment

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. A consultation chaired by the Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan and attended by the representatives of the banking system took place at the Government on September 27. As “Armenpress” was informed from the press service of the Government of Armenia, the PM highlighted the meetings with the representatives of the sphere, and stated that he expects proposals with practical and in some cases non-standard solutions the implementation of which will improve business environment and attract investments. “Our goal is to make business “breath”, and in this context I expect you to submit proposals mentioning what concrete measures must be taken to ensure extra loans for economic activities. It’s time to propose practical solutions”, Karen Karapetyan said.  

PM Karapetyan suggested that the banking system representatives should elaborate relevant projects for allocating loans for SMEs at the expense of the existing assets which will activate different branches of the economy.

CB Chairman Artur Javadyan introduced the monetary policy and the general situation over loan allocation.

Concluding the meeting, PM Karapetyan assigned the Cabinet members representing the financial-economic block of the Government to discuss the proposals and continue the joint work with banking system representatives for solving the issues raised and implementing different projects in specific economic spheres.
