YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 12, ARMENPRESS. OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs James Warlick (USA), Igor Popov (Russia) and Pierre Andrieu (France) may visit Nagorno Karabakh. However, the dates of the visit are not scheduled yet, American Co-Chair James Warlick told Interfax.

Recently he together with the two Co-Chairs held a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to discuss the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement.

“The conflict is already lasting too long, too many people have died during more than 20 years. The conflict can be settled. We have conditions for settlement, and they are known. For us the ideal settlement is the absence of winners and losers, it must be beneficial for both sides”, Warlick said stating that the conflict must be peacefully solved: all residents of the region will benefit from that.  

Referring to the organization of a new possible meeting, he said there are plans, but with no clarity. “We want a new meeting of Presidents, but there is no clarity on the date and place of the meeting yet. As Co-Chairs we will meet the Foreign Ministers in order  to lay the basis for the next summit. We hope to see the FMs of the two sides in New York after two weeks in order to discuss the further steps within the framework of the UN General Assembly. We would like to hope the meeting of the two Presidents will be held there”, Warlick said.
