Armenian FM Nalbandian, Georgian President Margvelashvili discuss expansion of Armenian- Georgian cooperation
YEREVAN, AUGUST 1, ARMENPRESS. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian – who arrived in Tbilisi on August 1 on an official visit – had a meeting with Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili.
Welcoming minister Nalbandian, the Georgian President noted with satisfaction that it is always pleasant to host high-ranking guests from friendly Armenia and discuss possibilities of even more developing the friendly neighboring relations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia told ARMENPRESS.
The ministries statement reads: “By thanking for the reception, Edward Nalbandian conveyed the greetings and regards of Armenian President to the Georgian President and informed about the results of his meetings and discussion in Tbilisi.
The sides discussed issues of expanding Armenian-Georgian cooperation and touched upon possibilities of regional cooperation.
Minister Nalbandian presented the efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk group aimed at realizing the agreements reached during the summits in Vienna and St. Petersburg, which will allow advancing the peaceful solution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
President Margvelashvili asked to convey his best regards and respects to President Serzh Sargsyan”.
