No credible info on Russian citizens being involved in Istanbul terror attack, - says Peskov
YEREVAN, JULY 6, ARMENPRESS. Spokesman of Russian President Dmitry Peskov says there is no credible information yet that Russian citizens were involved in the Istanbul terror attack, RIA Novosti reported Peskov speaking on the fact that among the 17 arrested people by the Istanbul Prosecutor’s Office are 11 Russian citizens.
“Unfortunately, during the past years the Russian side has informed the Turkish and European partners via different services, including special services, that people who are suspected in taking part of terrorist activities or similar attempts are hiding in both Turkey and in European countries. Often similar signals of the Russian side did not receive necessary attention or countermeasures from our partners. Unfortunately, this can be the result of contempt”, Peskov said.
