Nikolay Bordyuzha highly satisfied with works being carried out under Armenian Chairmanship of 
the CSTO

YEREVAN, JULY 4, ARMENPRESS. Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Nikolay Bordyuzha, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization on July 4.

As “Armenpress” was informed from the press service of MFA Armenia, the interlocutor touched upon the process of implementation of the priorities of the Armenian Chairmanship of the CSTO.

Foreign Minister of Armenia emphasized that Armenia attaches great importance to the cooperation within the CSTO and to the consecutive efforts aimed at strengthening the cooperation between the member-states of the Organization.

Nikolay Bordyuzha thanked for the reception and commended the extensive work being carried out by the Armenian Chairmanship of the CSTO, while expressing his support to the implementation of that work.

Minister Nalbandian outlined that Armenia will continue its initiative and active involvement in the CSTO aimed at contributing to the increase of the effectiveness of the Organization. In this regard, the sides attached importance to full implementation of the commitments of the member-states emanating from their membership in the Organization.

The interlocutors discussed the Organization’s agenda issues, touched upon the cooperation and foreign policy coordination of the CSTO member-states within the international organizations, as well as the development of military and military-technical collaboration, fight against terrorism and illegal drug trafficking.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged thoughts on interaction between the CSTO and other international organizations.
