Newly appointed Ambassador of India presents copy of credentials to FM Nalbandian

YEREVAN, JUNE 16, ARMENPRESS. Newly appointed Ambassador of India to Armenia H.E. Yogeshwar Sangwan presented the copy of his credentials to Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian on June 16.

Minister Nalbandian congratulated the Ambassador on the appointment, wished success during his mission and expressed hope that the Ambassador will have his important contribution in the deepening of the Armenia-India friendly relations.

H.E. Yogeshwar Sangwan stressed that his country is greatly interested in deepening relations with Armenia and developing cooperation in the fields of politics, economy and cultures and will spare no effort during his tenure to reach these goals.

During the meeting Minister Nalbandian and Ambassador Sangwan exchanged views on a number of issues, stressed the importance of organizing high-ranking visits, deepening relations within frameworks of international organizations, development of trade-economic cooperation and cultural exchanges.

Minister Nalbandian presented to the Ambassador the consequences of the Azerbaijani aggression against Nagorno Karabakh in April, and the efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs aimed at overcoming them.
