YEREVAN, JUNE 8, ARMENPRESS. During the Armenia-Czech Republic business conference, Czech President Milos Zeman said for the development of commercial-economic ties businessmen should be involved along political figures.

He said the bilateral commercial turnover volumes are unsatisfactory, and for improving the issue he has brought successful Czech entrepreneurs with him.

According to President Zeman, the Czech Republic can offer both traditional products, such as Czech beer and “Skoda” SUVs, and also other spheres.

“There is this sloganI like – it’s pleasant to consume apples, but much better to plant an apple tree. Our investment is similar to a deep rooted tree, and the friendly roots should be based on mutually beneficial strategy, which cannot be interrupted by random selections. We need a long-term economic cooperation”, he said.

“I am grateful to President Sargsyan, who promised to solve the issues which were present in connection to “Mika” cement, the three airplanes. That was an excellent agreement, which unfortunately was halted due to issues”, he added, highlighting the necessity of state guarantees in investments.
