State Duma Chairman on Bundestag vote-Russia recognized Armenian Genocide 21 years ago
15:58, 6 June 2016YEREVAN, JUNE 6, ARMENPRESS. Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin announced that the State Duma made a decision 21 years ago on the recognition of the Armenian Genocide committed in the Ottoman Empire in 1915, reports RIA Novosti.
On June 2 the Bundestag MPs adopted a resolution recognizing the crimes committed against Armenians in 1915 in the Ottoman Empire as genocide.
“You should remember that the State Duma adopted such a decision in 1995”, Naryshkin said to journalists.
