Iranian Minister says Armenia and Iran have strategic relations

YEREVAN, MAY 31, ARMENPRESS. Armenia and Iran have strategic relations and Iran is interested in expanding and developing bilateral relations, Justice Minister of Iran Mostafa Pourmohammadi told in a meeting with Armenian PM Hovik Abrahamyan.

As “Armenpress” was informed from the press service of the Government of Armenia, Prime Minister of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan received Justice Minister of Iran Mostafa Pourmohammadi on May 31. The sides discussed the process of Armenian-Iranian joint projects, as well as prospects for developing bilateral and multilateral economic relations.

Hovik Abrahamyan stated that in the recent years the relations between the governments of the two countries dynamically develop which is mainly resulted by mutual high level visits. The Armenian PM mentioned that Armenia is deeply interested in developing multidimensional cooperation with Iran, a centuries old friendly country for Armenia.

In this context the Iranian Minister highly appreciated the role of the Armenian community in Iran in deepening and strengthening the friendship between the two states.

Referring to regional issues, the sides highlighted the preservation of peace, stability and security in the region.
