YEREVAN, MAY 26, ARMENPRESS.  Minister of Transport and Communication of Armenia Gagik Beglaryan held a meeting with the Chairman of “Russian Railways” and Chairman of the Board of Directors of “South Caucasian Railways” Oleg Belozerov.

Beglaryan said the “South Caucasian Railway” is closely cooperating with the ministry and praised the Director Sergey Valko’s work.

According to Belozerov, all implemented works have been effective. He also said the works of 2015 have been summarized during the session of the board of directors in Yerevan.

Minister Beglaryan highlighted the united position on the construction of “Armenian Southern Railway” (Armenia-Iran), which is strategically important for Armenia, and issues of further cooperation.

Improvement of the railway infrastructure of Armenia, modernization and security issues were also discussed.
