CSTO Police Chiefs, Deputy Interior Ministers meet in Yerevan
19:54, 26 May 2016YEREVAN, MAY 26, ARMENPRESS. The meeting of Deputy Interior Ministers and Police Chiefs of CSTO member states took place on May 26 in Yerevan, Armenia.
CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha, Police Chief of Armenia Vladimir Gasparyan, Deputy Interior Minister of Belarus, commander of Interior Troops Yuri Karayev, Deputy Interior Minister of Kazakhstan Yerlan Turgumbayev, Deputy Interior Minister of Kirgizstan Kursan Asanov, Deputy Interior Minister of Russia, 1st class State Advisor Igor Zubov, Deputy Interior Minister of Tajikistan Abdurhmon Alamshozoda took part in the meeting.
Issues relating to the cooperation of CSTO member states in the fight against crime, personnel training, privileged conditions of supplying special equipments, and raising the combat readiness of the joint rapid response forces of the CSTO were discussed.
CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha delivered a speech on countermeasures against international terrorism and extremism.
The need of joining all capabilities and improving cooperation in the fight against terrorism, narcotics, organized crime and other criminal activities was highlighted.
The results of the discussion were inked in a protocol.
