YEREVAN, MAY 25, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan says the volumes of vegetable and fresh fruit exports are growing year by year in Armenia.

“Each year we have serious achievements in exports. Last year 80 thousand tons of fresh fruit and vegetables were exported, whereas this year, 48 thousand 300 tons have been exported in 5 months only”, the Minister said.

The Minister says this achievement is due to the greenhouse businesses.

“We will have 70 hectares of new greenhouse businesses this year. Greenhouses will be created in Gegharkunik Province for the first time”, he said.
