Russian Deputy Prime Minister to visit Azerbaijan

YEREVAN, MAY 13, ARMENPRESS. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Rogozin will visit Azerbaijan on May 17, “Armenpress” reports, “Interfax-Azerbaijan” news agency informs citing “the informed source”.

“Russian Deputy Prime Minister will hold negotiations with the Azerbaijani authorities. In the framework of the visit, the sides will discuss, in particular, the upcoming visit of Vladimir Putin to Azerbaijan”, source of the agency says.

The sides will also discuss the situation in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict zone.

Dmitry Rogozin’s last visit to Baku was on April 8. During the visit several issues related to the supply of Russian weapons to Azerbaijan were settled.

Rogozin responded to Armenians’ campaign against Russia’s selling weapons to Azerbaijan stating that “Russia will continue to sell weapons to Azerbaijan”.

Azerbaijani media reports that Azerbaijan is preparing to make an order of buying another large batch of weapons and military equipment from Russia. It is supposed that Rogozin will also discuss this issue during his visit to Baku.

Russian media does not report anything about neither Rogozin’s, nor Putin’s upcoming visit to Azerbaijan.
