Permyakov trial to continue

GYUMRI, APRIL 29, ARMENPRESS. The trial of Valery Permyakov will continue on April 29 in the 102nd Russian military base in Gyumri, Armenia.

Permyakov refused to testify so the Court decided to review Permyakov’s preliminary interrogation.

Audio and video materials are also being released in Court.

Overall Permyakov has been interrogated 17 times, both by Armenian and Russian investigators.

Valery Permyakov murdered 7 members of the Avetisyan family, including a 6 month old baby, on January 12 of 2015 in Gyumri, Armenia.

Permyakov is a soldier of the 102nd Russian Military Base.

He was apprehended when trying to cross the Turkish border.

On August 12, The Russian side sentenced Permyakov to 10 years of imprisonment for desertion and illegal possession of a firearm.

The Investigative Committee of Armenia filed a criminal case against Permyakov for the murder of the family.

Trials continue in Gyumri.
