Tigran Petrosyan considers Aronian as one of favorites to win Candidates Tournament
18:14, 23 March 2016YEREVAN, MARCH 23, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Chess team member Tigran Petrosyan believes Levon Aronian has good chances to win the Candidates Tournament held in Moscow. Petrosyan noted in the interview with reporters that much will depend on the March 23 game. “If Levon can win today, he will again join the battle to win the Candidates Tournament, but if he lose or makes a draw, his chances will fall slightly, but he will still have a chance,” Petrosyan emphasized, “Armenpress” reports.
On March 23 in the 10th round of the Chess Candidates Tournament Aronian will play with Veselin Topalov (Bulgaria). Levon Aronian has scored 5 points after the 9 rounds of the tournament and share 3-4 places with Fabiano Caruana.
