Armen Ashotyan speaks of his possible resignation
17:08, 10 February 2016YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 10, ARMENPRESS: Armenian minister of education and science Armen Ashotyan has broken silence on rumors of his possible resignation.
“It’s a Facebook paradox. As the rumors of my possible resignation intensify, the number of my followers on Facebook and the number of those people who appreciate my work increases. While the number of those who don’t like me remains the same. Thank you, it’s very nice,” the minister wrote on his Facebook page, “Armenpress” reports.
The topic of Ashotyan’s resignation was widely covered by local media in context of possible coalition deal between the ruling Republican Party and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnakcutyun). It was implied that minister would have to leave his portfolio after the coalition deal was struck.
