YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 5, ARMENPRESS.  On February 5, the National Assembly (NA) Deputy Speaker met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Argentina to Armenia Gonzalo Urriolabeitia. “Armenpress” was informed about this from the NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov’s staff.

Welcoming the guest, the NA Deputy Speaker especially highlighted the activation of the bilateral political contacts and the rapprochement of the inter-parliamentary cooperation. In this context the sides evaluated the bilateral visits of the delegations at different levels, the contacts between the Friendship Groups and talked about the concrete programmes of the upcoming cooperation. Mr Sharmazanov noted that in his turn he would do utmost to advance the Armenian-Argentinean inter-parliamentary cooperation.

The NA Deputy Speaker expressed his gratitude to the authorities of friendly Argentina for the condemnation of the Armenian Genocide and the balanced position on the Nagorno Karabakh issue.

At the meeting the sides also touched upon the cooperation in the inter-parliamentary platforms, the role of the Argentinean-Armenian community in the rapprochement of bilateral relations and other issues.
