YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 5, ARMENPRESS. After an hour of discussion, Armenia’s National Assembly RPA faction announced the name of its candidate.  “Armenpress” reports that the Republicans confirmed the candidacy  of deputy Minister of Justice Arman Tatoyan. During the interview with the reporters Arman Tatoyan announced that he has given his consent. “Yes, The Republican Party of Armenia decided to nominate me for the Ombudsman’s post” Tatoyan said, mentioning that he can act freely if he’s elected in that post. “ I am sure that I can act freely for the sake of the citizens in accordance with Ombudsman’s responsibilities”, Arman Tatoyan mentioned.

Members of Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs must submit the applications of their candidates on elections for the Ombudsman’s post until February 9.The "Rule of Law" Party (RLP) will protect MP Zaruhi Postanjyan’s candidacy  and the Prosperous Armenia Party will nominate young Makar Yeghiazaryan as its own candidate.
