YEREVAN, JANUARY 26, ARMENPRESS. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (RF) Grigoriy Karasin discussed in Moscow with his Iranian colleague Ibrahim Rahimpour the issue of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement.

As “Armenpress” reports, the aforementioned is said in the official statement released by the RF Foreign Ministry.

According to the statement, an exchange of thoughts on some agenda issues has taken place. Much attention was paid to the implementation of Minsk agreements related to the situation in the Central Asia and Transcaucasia, as well as the Nagorno Karabah conflict settlement.   

A representative of Iran Foreign Ministry had informed earlier that Tehran is ready to be a mediator between Armenia and Azerbaijan during the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.

He had also informed that Azerbaijani and Iranian diplomats had held negotiations with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to prepare his possible visit to Iran.
