YEREVAN, DECEMBER 1, ARMENPRESS. Corruption is a big problem, a disease, which must be eradicated. Vice President of the National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov said the aforementioned during the meeting with journalists on December 1, agreeing with the remark that corruption is one of the main factors impeding country’s progress in economy.

“I am not one of those people, who think that corruption is not a problem. It is a big problem, it is a disease, rubbish, which must be eradicated,” “Armenpress” reports, Sharmazanov said. 

He added that if corruption were not a problem in our country, the Government wouldn’t have created a Commission fighting against it. In response to the remark that the Commission has convened only one sitting within 8 months, Sharmazanov replied:

“I think that not the convened sessions, but the actions taken by the Commission are more important.”
