Lavrov speaks about the plan to close Syrian-Turkish border
19:40, 27 November 2015YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. Closing Turkish-Syrian border will greatly contribute to solving the terrorism problem in Syria. “Armenpress” reports, citing “Interfax”, RF Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced about it.
“He (French President Francois Hollande) suggested taking precise steps so as to close Turkish-Syrian border”, he added.
According to RF Foreign minister, “official Moscow actively supports that initiative and is open to coordinate the practical steps, of course, in collaboration with the Syrian Government”.
French President Hollande held negotiations with the Russian President Vladimir Putin on November 26. The agenda was about coordinating efforts in the fight against terrorism and taking actions against the “Islamic State”.
