YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 25, ARMENPRESS. Republic of Armenia Minister of Economy Karen Chshmaritian conducted a consultation at the Ministry of Economy on Nov. 23 dedicated to issues of metallurgy companies and of those exploiting metal mines. As “Armenpress” was informed by Information and Public Relations Division of the Ministry of Economy, heads of metallurgy companies and that of companies exploiting metal mines in Armenia, officials of Armenian ministries of Economy, Finance, Nature Protection, Energy and Natural Resources attended the consultation.

The consultation was held according to PM Hovik Abrahamyan’s instruction and was aimed at discussing the possibilities of relieving the impact of price fall of coloured metal in international market upon metallurgy companies and those exploiting metal mines in the Republic.

A number of issues particularly related to calculation of royalty, return of Value Added Tax, possibilities of involvement of financial resources were discussed during the meeting.

It was decided in the result of the discussions that first of all a package of proposals should be compiled and submitted it to the Government of Armenia. That would provide an opportunity for prompt solution of the problems within a short period, and the solution of more global issues ensuring continual development of the sector could be initiated.
