YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 24, ARMENPRESS.  The staff of the Russian helicopter targeted on November 24 in Syria is alive. “Armenpress” reports that The Daily Star informed about this citing military-medical centre of “Hezbollah”.

The newspaper stated that the helicopter was targeted in Syria's Latakia province. At least ten people were on the helicopter when it was hit by the insurgents but they were all evacuated when it conducted an emergency landing and before the missile destroyed it.

According to information by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the helicopter was targeted by an anti-tank missile fired by an insurgent group.

There are no RF Defense Ministry statements on this issue yet. Neither there is an official confirmation of the incident.
