Armenia and Russia to cooperate in nuclear security

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 12, ARMENPRESS.  Armenia and Russia will cooperate in nuclear security. The National Assembly discusses agreement on cooperation in the sphere of nuclear security signed between the Governments of Armenia and Russia. The main reporter, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Areg Galstyan mentioned that signing of the agreement is conditioned by the fact that Armenia is engaged in large-scale works with Russian “Rosatom” company extending the date of life-time of the active power block and construction of the planned power block. “In this regard similar agreements are a must as they allow regulating the joint works in the sphere of security”, “Armenpress” reports, Galstyan stated.
