YEREVAN, OCTOBER 20, ARMENPRESS. 2-time Olympic champion, 3-time world champion figure skater Evgeni Plushenko has big expectations from his show program held in November in Yerevan. 

“Earlier I had 2 demonstrative performances which found a great demand. I pause again in terms of sport now. I don’t participate in this season, but I have big and worldwide tour instead. I will represent you my show program in November. I think it will be very interesting as I want to see your response. Everything is fine in my business, there were rumors that Plushenko will be operated again, but everything is fine. I continue to train.” Olypmpic champion told in the interview with journalists, as “Armenpress” reports.

Talking about figure skating in Armenia prominent athlete mentioned that figure skating does not develop in Armenia, as there are no appropriate conditions in Armenia. “Unfortunately there are no skating rinks in Armenia. We tried to open sports school after Plushenko here, but If you can skate on the ice only for a month in a year, so children cannot train there”, concluded Plushenko.
