YEREVAN, OCTOBER 10, ARMENPRESS. The opening of bronze memorial “Armenian Mother” by Vigen Avetis in the framework of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide took place in Palais du Pharo, Marseille on October 8.

As “Armenpress” was informed by the Department of Press, Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia the event was attended by President of Marseille Provence Métropole community Guy Teissier, member of the National Assembly of France Valérie Boyer, Marseille Deputy Mayor Didier Parakian, Consul of Armenia to Marseille Samvel Lalayan, the representative of Artskah to France Hovhannes Gevorgyan, sculptor Vigen Avetis, presidents of French and Armenian organizations, representatives of the Armenian community in France, journalists, foreign guests.
