YEREVAN, OCTOBER 9, ARMENPRESS. Armenia is open for any kind of export and industrial cooperation with Iran. Representative of “Armenia Development Fund” Paruyr Jangulyan told the journalists on October 9 during Armenian-Iranian business forum, mentioning also that there are good conditions for Iranians to start business in Armenia. The conditions Mr. Jangulyan pointed out are qualified labor force, quite liberal tax laws, and free-trade zone.

Representative of the Iranian embassy in Yerevan Hmayak Avetisyan said that Iranian businessmen are interested in finding partners in Armenia so as to organize part of their industry here. “Bringing raw materials and tools from Iran will give an opportunity to export joint products to the EAEU. This is a good opportunity for Armenia as well, and it can take an advantage of being a transit country as Iran has quite great potential, advanced technologies with great opportunities of investments”, “Armenpress” reports, he added.

President of the Iranian Association of businessmen Mohammed Hussein Yusef said that Iran is rich in various raw materials, such as polyethylene or plastic, which can be transported to Armenia, processed and sent to different countries. “Iranian businessmen, who are  member of our organization, have been engaged in business in Armenia for over 20 years. A lot of products are exported from here to Iran, like timber, mutton or potatoes”, the President of the association added.
