YEREVAN, OCTOBER 8, ARMENPRESS. The situation in Kessab is quiet in general. No incidents occur. Karo Manchikyan, member of the Kessab Executive Committee of the organization “First Aid and Rehabilitation for Armenians”, told “Armenpress” about this, adding that the front line is quite away from the town. “We hope to stay away from the threat eternally and the whole country will overcome this hard situation. Optimism spreads in the country”.

“Kessab residents have already finished harvesting and are preparing to winter by stockpiling timber and fuel”, Manchikyan mentioned, adding that the state allocated limited quantity of timber to the residents.

According to Manchikyan, Kessab residents live their everyday life.

Kessab was liberated by the Syrian army on June 15, 2014 and the majority of the residents returned to their homeland.
