YEREVAN, OCTOBER 8, ARMENPRESS. Over 500 delegates of 80 countries will attend the 31st session of the Conference of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the International Organization of La Francophonie. The regular session of the Conference of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the International Organization of La Francophonie will be held in Yerevan, October 9-11.

Head of the Armenian delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie Margarit Yesayan noted during the meeting with journalists that the organization of such an event in Yerevan speaks of the efficiency of the foreign policy of Armenia. According to her, such a respectable, large-scale assembly has never been held in Armenia during the history of its independence.

The MP emphasized that the activeness of the International Organization of La Francophonie in political realm has grown especially in the recent years.

Margarit Yesayan noted that the International Organization of La Francophonie has great significance for Armenia and the relations with the organization have gradually become deeper after President Serzh Sargsyan’s and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian’s holding offices.

Margarit Yesayan is of the opinion that more accessible and comprehensible solutions will be given to Armenia’s problems once Armenia becomes more open for international institutions.
