Armenian Ambassador to Iran highlights inter-governmental relations with Iran

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 6, ARMENPRESS. Armenia highly appreciates Iran’s balanced policy towards regional issues, particularly towards Karabakh conflict. The Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Iran, Artashes Tumanyan, announced about this on October 5 during the meeting with Iranian First Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi.

As “Armenpress” was informed from the Department of Press, Information and Public Relations of Armenia MFA, Ambassador Tumanyan mentioned that intergovernmental relations between Armenia and Iran are of key importance for Armenia.

The Deputy Minister, greeting Ambassador Tumanyan, emphasized that relations with Armenia are among foreign policy priorities of Iran, hoping that during his tenure as an Ambassador the sides will record development of bilateral relations, particularly after the new opportunities that came forward thank to the nuclear deal of Iran.

Artashes Tumanyan also referred to the agreement reached between Iran and “5+1” with satisfaction, adding that no efforts must be spared to maximum develop bilateral trade relations in the new situation.
