YEREVAN, OCTOBER 5, ARMENPRESS. President Serzh Sargsyan received Mohammad Raiesi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia over the end of his diplomatic mission. As “Armenpress” was informed from the Public relations and information department of the President's office, the president thanked the ambassador for the efforts to develop and strengthen Armenian-Iranian relations during the past three years and wished a success in the future activity.

Serzh Sargsyan emphasized that the relations with Iran have vital importance for Armenia and are conditioned both by historical-cultural commonalities, and the peculiarities of the geopolitical position, common approaches against a group of issues.

 Both Armenian president and Iranian ambassador highlighted and evaluated the cooperation representing various sectors continuously deepening within the framework of a rich agenda between Armenia and Iran, simultaneously emphasizing the necessity of frequent visits of high level and passing regular consultations.
