YEREVAN, OCTOBER 5, ARMENPRESS. Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan addressed a message on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. As “Armenpress” was informed by the Information and Public Relations Department of Yerevan Municipality the congratulatory message of the Mayor reads:

“Dear pedagogues,

Accept my cordial congratulations on Teachers’ Day. Indeed, any wish, word of appreciation, reverence for your merits cannot compensate the commitment and sacrifice thanks to which any generation entering life, present themselves with good conscience as keepers of the idea of preserving the independence of Armenia, empowering our statehood and loving Yerevan devotedly.”

The school of modern times is not only a place to give knowledge but a center of developing abilities of creating knowledge. Only by this way competitive education can arise which is the foundation of our competitive state and homeland which is blossoming day by day.

Improving the quality of education and ensuring competitiveness: this is the imperative of our time, which must be tackled by you, dear pedagogues.

It is a wonderful holiday today, and that holiday is not only yours but each of us, as each of us has a teacher who accompanies us during our entire lives.  

Dear pedagogues, I once again congratulate you on your professional holiday, expressing my gratitude and wishing all the best, personal happiness, success and skills for making our students capable of turning our warm and kind Yerevan into a more competitive capital.”
