YEREVAN, OCTOBER 3, ARMENPRESS. From October 5-6 the “International Forum for the Challenges of Peace Operations” annual conference will held in Yerevan, and the organizer of it is the Institute for National Strategic Studies of the Armenian Defense Ministry. As “Armenpress was informed from  the Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, the forum is the most popular organization in the sector of peacekeeping, which has 22 member states. The Republic of Armenia , represented by the Institute for National Strategic Studies of the Armenian Defense Ministry,  became a member of the “International Forum for the Challenges of Peace Operations” in 2014.

During the conference, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan, UN Assistant Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations Edmond Mulet will deliver welcome messages. 58 representatives of 16 countries are participating in the conference. During the conference, modern issues referring to the international peacekeeping will be discussed.

The conference will launch on October 5, at 9.00 o`clock, at Armenian  Government Reception House.
