YEREVAN, OCTOBER 2, ARMENPRESS. Azerbaijan’s position in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict has not undergone any changes. During the entire period of the conflict Azerbaijan tried to make the international community and Armenia accept its preconditions and the policy in question goes on till now. Director of the Armenian Center for National and International Studies Manvel Sargsyan expressed such an opinion during his meeting with the journalists.

“During these years they have changed only the means for getting what they want but their wishes and position have not changed in regard to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. They have expanded the caliber of weapons they use, they try to get what they want by such means but I think they do not have a plan of large-scale military operations at this point, as war, which is aimed at destroying the adversary, is not an easy thing. You can start a war without understanding where it leads to,” political scientist emphasized.

He also added that Azerbaijan bought a great number of weaponry from the Russian Federation constantly increasing tension in the conflict zone, showing the world the path Azerbaijan had chosen.
