YEREVAN, OCTOBER 2, ARMENPRESS.  Armenian and foreign historical-archaeologists will introduce their works over the exploration of Metsamor in “Metsamor: Chronicle of half century excavations” international symposium. As “Armenpress” reports, the symposium launched on October 2 in Komitas Museum-Institute is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the creation of the excavations of ancient Metsamor and  to the 45th anniversary of the foundation of the reserve-museum.

“During the symphosium, topics referring to Metsamor will be discussed, as Metsamor involves period of Middle Ages, antique, urartian, early and late Bronze Age wide periods”, said deputy director of the Historical Archaeological Museum-Reserve, Environment and Cultural Museum-Reservations” NCSO Ashot Piliposyan .

The scientist added that during the 50 years great materials accumulated in Metsamor museum which needs to be introduced and made world famous.
