YEREVAN, OCTOBER 1, ARMENPRESS. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Germany Ashot Smbatyan was on a working visit in Magdeburg, capital city of the state of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany on Sept 30. As “Armenpress” was informed by the Department of Press, Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, within the working visit Ambassador Smbatyan had a meeting with Reiner Haseloff, Minister-President of the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt.

The parties discussed the perspectives for cooperation between Armenia and the federal state especially in the sectors of economy and tourism, as well as other issues of mutual interest.

During his visit Ambassador Smbatyan was received by Detlef Gürth, President of the Landtag of Saxony-Anhalt. The interlocutors highly valued the current level of scientific-educational and cultural relations between Armenia and Saxony-Anhalt and attached importance to the development of collaboration in the sphere of economy.

Ambassador of Armenia to Germany Ashot Smbatyan also met with Mayor of Magdeburg Dr Lutz Trümper.
